Chambered in 9mm, comes standard with two 15rd. magazines. Sig-Sauer is a name that is synonymous with durability, quality, and unparalleled function. This weapon is no exception. With a polymer frame, and a backstrap that is designed for a easy fitting, comfortable grip. The weapon is well balanced and light weight, but not so light that recoil is an issue. The pistol comes standard with Trijicon night sights, which is becoming more standard these days, but still, a plus worth mentioning.
The SP2022 shoots comfortably with little felt recoil, quick re-acquisition of sight picture, and a comfortable, light trigger pull.
I would suggest this weapon for any security professional(law enforcement rarely gets a choice in weapons these days). The tough build, and reliable function makes it excellent for positions that require working in an out-door environment, and most security work is at night, so the standard sights are helpful.
The retail price of this weapon, along with the function, and other perks make this a more than excellent purchase. The only downside of this weapon is that the replacement mags are currently only available thru Sig, and they are priced around $50, that's pretty steep in my opinion, but the initial savings on the pistol make up for it.
